2025-2026 Team Placement Information

Our initial team placement for incoming freshmen and/or anyone new to the Dragon Tennis program will be held on Monday, July 28th, 2025 from 8AM-10:00AM (GIRLS) 10:00AM-12:00PM (BOYS) at the CSHS tennis courts (time tentative, subject to change).  If the student qualifies for a JV Green or Varsity tryout, they will need to be present July 29th – August 1st (Tuesday – Friday).  Kids will need to have a current physical form signed by a physician in order to participate in our team placement dates.

PLEASE NOTE:  Team selection is based on several factors: player work ethic, attitude, experience, grades, dedication, potential, character, Universal Tennis Rating (UTR), etc.

If the athlete is to make our Varsity team, our first day of Varsity practice will be August 4th with matches to follow shortly after. Both of our JV teams’ first day of practice will be on their first day of school.

PHYSICALS/ONLINE FORMS
All athletes must have completed their UIL online forms and submitted a NEW physical (from the current year). No documents from last year will carry over.

These items must be completed BEFORE you can practice in August.

All athletes must have an updated physical uploaded to your portal in RankOne. Our athletic trainers will need to approve the physical before it turns green on your portal.

There are three other forms that must be filled out online through RankOne:

  1. CISD Participation Packet
  2. Athletic Participation Release
  3. UIL Safety Training Acknowledgment (this is a PowerPoint that you must open and read)

Once the physical has been uploaded to RankOne and reviewed by our medical staff, and the online forms have been completed, the athlete will be cleared for the 2025-2026 athletics season.
